Hello Everyone!
We wanted to start off the talk of the town in preparation for our May Monthly Newsletter!
This Talk of the Town's question is: What does intersectional feminism and gender equality mean to you?
You can write a short or long answer to this, and if you are ok with being featured in our newsletter write "I am ok with being featured" at the bottom of the response, and if you aren't, write "I don't want to be featured", and we will respect that! You can also choose to be featured anonymously if you please, if so, write "I am ok with being featured anonymously."
You can of course respond even if you don't want to be featured, this is meant to open discussion and thoughts! We can't wait to see as many answers as possible below:
To me intersectional feminism plays a major role in gender equality; Acknowledging that everyone has their own unique experiences of discrimination and oppression, we must consider everything and anything that can marginalise people – gender, race, class, sexual orientation, physical ability, etc. -Jiya Parikh (I am ok with being featured)
